Behind the photographDiscover the story of this encounter
An original humpback whale photograph by Tom Cannon, captured on Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia.
Winter brings humpback whales along the West Australian coast, and Ningaloo comes alive with their spectacular displays.
I captured this moment from a small, stationary vessel, close to the water as the whales approached us.
Size & border details
Select a size to see the paper and image dimensions.
The white border is part of the paper. Your frame must fit the full sheet; a separate mount is not included.
Fine Art Prints
Each photograph is printed to order using giclée printing and archival pigment inks on bright white, 240gsm Lustre Photo Paper.
The satin finish has a subtle pearl-like texture. The paper supports rich colour, deep blacks and crisp detail, while pigment inks help reproduce smooth tonal transitions. Together, these qualities suit the colour and texture of wildlife photographs.
Your print is supplied unframed, with the white border included in the artwork.
The full photograph is centred without cropping. Choose a frame for the full paper size. The available sizes are selected for Australian customers.
Delivery and returns
Most fine art prints take approximately 2–3 working days to produce. Shipping time is additional and depends on your Australian delivery address and production route.
