The Famous Sardine Run
Off the coast of the Southern Baja Peninsula, Mexico, in Magdalena Bay (Mag Bay), a remarkable natural phenomenon named The Sardine Run, occurs each year between the months of October and January.
This unique spectacle of migrating Sardines, attracts a vast array of ocean predators, from Striped Marlin, Dorado, Tuna, Sea Lion, Whales, Sharks, Birds and more.
We will bring you as close as safely possible to the action.
As you watch some of the oceans most advanced apex predators systematically pick off prey from the balls of Sardines.
Mag Bay and the Sea of Cortez not only plays host to an annual Sardine run. It is also known for it’s presence of Mobula Rays, Humpback Whales and other spectacular cetaceans such as Orca and Brydes Whales, all of which we will be on the look out for.

Join me in November 2026 for the experience of a lifetime. Together we will witness one of the greatest ocean spectacles on earth. The Sardine Run.
After 5 remarkable days exploring the pacific ocean together, we will make our way south to La Ventana to a private beach house, where our guides will pick us up from the beach to explore the Sea of Cortex together over the next 3 days.
For the photographers and videographers this trip will provide a unique opportunity for you to capture predation events, marine mammals and of course stunning Striped Marlin. Throughout the trip Tom will be on hand to ensure you are able to maximise your opportunities to capture what is before you.
For those new to photography, Tom will offer insights and workshops throughout to help improve your skills as a wildlife photographer.
Not a photographer? That is also ok, this trip is for anyone that wants to connect with nature and make dreams come true with a group of like minded individuals.
